Grant Gooding

Biography

Grant is the founder of Startup Branding and focuses primarily on brand positioning. Having experience starting and running several businesses, his first at the age of 19, Grant has spent his career building, growing and consulting small businesses in the areas of branding, marketing and strategy.

Grant has owned and participated in several startup businesses throughout his career including working as an analyst in mergers and acquisitions for nearly 10 years evaluating and consulting over 200 startups specializing in analysis of new business and product concepts.

After graduate school Grant began additional education in small business valuation, a specialized niche of finance and accounting. A complicated application of market based, qualitative data coupled with high-level accounting and finance, an education in business valuation gives one a unique perspective of how the value of a business is applied and transferred in a real market scenario. Grant has practiced as an expert business appraiser in both Kansas and Missouri.

Grant’s experience and unique education gives him a macro understanding of business that is unique in the world of marketing.

When He Isn't Working

Grant enjoys outdoor sports and working in his yard. He also likes to cook and entertain friends and family. More than anything Grant loves spending time with his wife Stacey, his dog Harley and his cats Busterman and Scrawny.

Grant is a gifted vocalist and has performed in Carnegie Hall in New York, St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice, Westminster Abbey in London and other venues across Europe.
